STEVE DONOGHUE d1945. English flat race jockey of 1910-20s widely regarded as one of the greatest ever. He was Champion Jockey ten times and also won The Epsom Derby six times. He is most associated with the following horses ; Humorist / Captain Cuttle / Papyru / Brown Jack / Pommern / Gay Crusader and famously The Tetrarch (1913) a 2 year old thought to be the fastest horse ever ridden in England. He died of a heart attack aged 61 in London in 1945.
