THE STRANGLERS. English punk / new wave rock group first formed in 1974 in Guildford Surrey who have enjoyed continued success throughout four decades (releasing 23 UK Top 40 singles and 17 UK Top 40 LPs). Their biggest UK chart hit singles during the 1970-80s included ; Peaches / Grip / Duchess and Golden Brown but are probably best known for releasing two of the best-ever punk LPs in 1977 ; Rattus Norvegicus (No4) and No More Heroes (No2). Keyboardist David Greenfield sadly died of Covid 19 aged 71 on May 3rd 2020
