THE CRAMPS. Lux Interior was the singer and founding member of the punk-rock group The Cramps in 1976. They were part of the famous early CBGB punk movement that emerged in New York along. They are widely noted as having influenced a number of musical styles. Not only were they one of the first garage-punk bands, they are also widely recognized as one of the prime innovators of psychobilly. Lux Interior died from an aortic dissection aged 62 in 2009
