THE POLICE. Internationally successful British supergroup of the 1980s. They had a string of hit singles (including five UK No1s) ; Message in a Bottle / Walking on the Moon / Dont Stand so Close to Me / Everything She Does is Magic and Every Breath You Take. Their "Sycronicity" album of 1983 was one of four UK No1 albums and also a US No1 (selling over 8 million copies). They reformed in 2007 for a successful World Tour.
