THE SYMBOLS. English pop music band, who were founded in 1965 and lasted until 1974. They had two UK hit singles ; "Bye Bye Baby" (1967), later in 1975 to become a No1 for the Bay City Rollers and The Best Part of Breaking Up (1968). Bassist Mick Clarke later became a member of the Rubettes in 1973
