TRANSVISION VAMP. British alternative rock group first formed in 1986 by Nick Christian Sayer & Wendy James, active until 1991. They enjoyed chart success in the late 1980s with their pop / punk sound and remain best known for their 1988 UK No5 single "I Want Your Love" which came off their debut UK No4 debut LP "Pop Art. Gorgeous lead singer and focal-point of the group Wendy James attracted much media attention at the time with her sexually charged and rebellious image.
