GENE PITNEY d2006. American singer-songwriter with distinctive style and voice who enjoyed a string of hits during the 1960s. He scored 4 Top 10 US hit singles & 11 Top 10 UK hits, but remains best known for the classic "24 Hours from Tulsa". He died in a Welsh Hotel of a heart attack aged 66 on April 5th 2006 during a UK Tour.
