Masten Gregory

MASTEN GREGORY d1985. American F1 driver and one of the great racers of the 1950s golden age in sportscars and Jaguars. He scored a debut F1 podium finish at Monte Carlo in 1957 in a Maserati 250F, but gained a reputation for being extremely fast, but accident prone. In 1959, he won the constructers championship with the Cooper team (driving alongside Bruce McLaren and Jack Brabham) and was arguably the quickest of the three. He also won Le Mans with Jochen Rindt in 1965 driving a Ferrari 250LM for North American Racing. He died in Italy aged 53 on November 8th 1985
