Tom Neal

TOM NEAL d1972. American actor and successful amateur boxer best known for his co-starring role in the critically lauded film Detour and for having a widely publicized affair with actress Barbara Payton. He was convicted and imprisoned in 1965 for the manslaughter of his wife Gail Bennett. He was released on parole on December 6th 1971. On August 7th 1972, he was found dead in his bed aged 58 by his son at his home in North Hollywood California
