CERTIFICATION ; From the extensive autograph collection of Edna Winter of London SE16. Thought to have been an obsessive collector and hoarder, Edna amassed a massive collection of Entertainment / Film / Political and Literary autographs during the 1940-50s. She kept a detailed diary of who / when and where she obtained her autographs from ; it would appear mostly by writing to theatres / home addresses and the major A-list London hotels of the period. It is unknown how she knew which celebrity was staying where and at what time, but almost all autographs (very usefully) have venues and dates included with them ; some are also dedicated to her. Savoy Hotel 27th November 1948 (with additional note that Alan Ladd appeared at The Royal Command Performance in 1948). AFTAL Dealer No13 and UACC RD Memorabilia UK COA.
