Albert Rn Break to Freedom

ALBERT RN (BREAK TO FREEDOM) FILM. 1953 British war film based on a true story directed by Lewis Gilbert. The plot is based around British inmates of a POW camp thinking they have an informer among them after several escape attempts fail. One of the prisoners makes a dummy which they christen "Albert" and then use at roll-call in order to foil the German guards. The film was renamed "Break to Freedom" when released the same year in the USA.
