ALISTAIR MACLEAN d1987. Scottish novelist who wrote popular thrillers and adventure stories. His works include ; The Guns of Navarone / Ice Station Zebra and Where Eagles Dare – all three were made into popular films. He also wrote two novels under the pseudonym Ian Stuart. He died in Germany aged 64 on February 2nd 1987

All obtained in-person and through the post by him for 50+ years between the 1950s-1990s. The majority are dedicated to him and date stamped. As part of his archiving, there are numerous letters that help support the history and provenance of his lifetime dedication to the hobby of autograph collecting. Letter date is January 31st 1961.
