ANDREW RAY d2003. English actor and child star whose life was transformed at the age of 10 when he was cast in the title part of The Mudlark alongside Alec Guinness and Irene Dunne. He played a street urchin who ends up meeting Queen Victoria. The film was chosen as the Royal Command Performance of 1950. He later featured in numerous films of the 1950s including ; The Yellow Balloon / Escapade / Woman in a Dressing Gown / The Young and The Guilty and Serious Charge. He died in 2003 aged 64
