Barton MacLane

BARTON MACLANE d1969. American actor, playwright and screenwriter. He appeared in many classic films from the 1930s through the 1960s, including credits in numerous horror, sci-fi and fantasy films ; The Walking Dead (1936) / Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1941) / The Mummy's Ghost (1944) / Cry of the Werewolf (1944) and Unknown Island (1948). Highlights elsewhere include ; The Prince and the Pauper (1937) / The Maltese Falcon (1941) / The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948) and The Glenn Miller Story (1954). He also played General Martin Peterson on the 1960s NBC television comedy series I Dream of Jeannie with Barbara Eden and Larry Hagman
