Blakes 7

Blakes 7

BLAKES 7. British BBC science-fiction television series which ran between 1978-1981 for four series and 52 episodes. It was created by Terry Nation, a prolific television writer and creator of the Daleks in Doctor Who. The programme followed the exploits of a group of political renegades, led by freedom-fighter Roj Blake. It was popular from its first broadcast, although its budget was wholly inadequate for its intergalactic story-line. It remains well regarded mainly because of its dystopian themes, moral ambiguity, strong characterisation and its memorable final episode. It has since inspired a comedic short film and a series of prequel audio plays. A proposed live-action or animated remake has been rumoured for many years, but has not yet been realised .......
