An original (circa 1968-69) David Symonds BBC Show Certificate, clearly signed in markers by all six (circa 1968-1969) lineup of the group members ; Chris Farlowe / Bruce Bugs Waddell (bass) / Colin Davey (drums) / Peter Robinson (keyboards) / Steve Hammond (guitar) and we believe Duffy Power (?)

| Certification: | One of a collection of similar original BBC (circa 1968-69) David Symonds Show scroll-certificates all awarded to competition winner Sylvia Southard. Includes a copy of a BBC letter from The Symonds Show secretary to her detailing the reason for the award. David Symonds joined the BBC in 1965 and made his name as presenter of the Sunday morning Light Programme show Easy Beat, one of the station's few modern pop programmes. He was one of the original line-up of DJs when Radio One began in autumn 1967 and established himself as presenter of the new network's afternoon show. This lasted until 1969, when he moved back to Sunday mornings to host the Symonds on Sunday show.
