About Dennis Spicer

DENNIS SPICER d1964. British ventriloquist who appeared on TV and in variety in its twilight years with his dummies (James Green / Maxwell Monkey / Sexy Rexy the Wolf / Puppy Doll the Poodle / Rikki Tikki the Tiger / The Ugly Duckling and Russian Bear. He was also well known in America, with five performances on the Ed Sullivan Show between 1962-1964. He appeared on the Royal Variety Show on 2nd November 1964 with a corgi as a dummy. He died in an accident in his Sabre sports car on the A1 in Lincolnshire aged just 28 on 16th November 1964
