Ernest A Simpson

ERNEST ALDRICH SIMPSON d1958. American-born naturalized British shipping executive best known as the second husband of Wallis Simpson between 1928-37. She later married Edward The Duke of Windsor, this constitutional crisis causing him to abdicate from the UK throne on December 11th 1936 in order to marry her in France on June 3rd 1937. He was also a partner with the City Shipbroking firm Simpson, Spence & Young. He died in London aged 61 on November 30th 1958.
