EVERYTHING BUT THE GIRL. English musical duo formed in Hull in 1982, consisting of lead singer and occasional guitarist Tracey Thorn & guitarist, keyboardist and singer Ben Watt. The duo's most successful single was a Todd Terry remix of "Missing" which reached No3 in the UK and charted in many other countries in 1995. They have also scored five Top 20 UK albums between 1984-1996 (Eden / Love Not Money / Idlewind / The Language of Life and Walking Wounded).
