Description:

An original circa 1980s lined page, clearly signed in ballpoints by all group members ; Davey Arthur / George Furey / Paul Furey d2002 / Eddie Furey and Finbar Furey (adding love). There are two additional signatures ; Debbie (adding best wishes) and Stan ?

 

Certification:

From a small collection of 1980s autographs all obtained by 18 year old Dawn who worked at the time at Heathrow Airport Departures Terminal. Some signatures are dedicated to her. Sadly some autographs she covered entirely with sellotape at the time thinking it would preserve them !. AFTAL Dealer No13 and UACC RD Memorabilia UK COA.

Condition:

Average. View Image. There are several sellotape stains caused by previous mountng on the edges of the page. These do not affect the signatures.

THE FUREYS. Irish folk band formed in Belfast in 1978, consisting of four brothers. In 1981, The Fureys released their most successful single, "When you Were Sweet Sixteen" which became a worldwide hit reaching No14 in the UK and remained in the charts for twenty eight weeks. Other notable songs include ; "Gallipoli" / "The Red Rose Cafe" and "Steal Away". As of January 2014, the band is still recording and touring with a different lineup. Paul Furey died suddenly in June 2002
