Gregory Peck

GREGORY PECK d2003. American actor and of the world's most popular film stars between the 1940-1960s ; he continued to play major film roles until the late 1970s. He is best known for his performance as Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) which earned him an Academy Award for best actor. He had also been nominated for an Oscar for the same category for The Keys of The Kingdom (1944) / The Yearling (1946) / Gentlemans Agreement (1947) and Twelve Oclock High (1949). His other notable films include ; Spellbound (1945) / The Paradine Case (1947) / Roman Holiday (1953) / Moby Dick (1956) / Guns of Navarone (1961) / How The West Was Won (1962) / The Omen (1976) and The Boys From Brazil (1978). In 1999, the AFI named him No12 in their list of Greatest Male Film-Stars of All Time. He died from Bronchopneumonia aged 87 in 2003.
