HARRY BELAFONTE d2023. American musician actor and social activist. A hugely successful singer dubbed "The King of Calypso". His Caribbean style became popular in the 1950s and he remains best known for the "Day OO Banana Boat Song". He died in Manhattan aged 96 on April 25th 2023
