Description
1) HATTIE JACQUES d1980. English comedy actress who first found fame on radio with Tommy Handley during the 1940s and later in Hancocks Half Hour. She is however best known for appearing in 14 Carry On films, playing such classic roles as a rotund Hospital Matron between 1958-1974. She also had a long-running TV partnership with Eric Sykes. She died of a heart attack aged just 58 in 1980.
2) ERIC SYKES d2012. English radio, television and film writer, actor and director whose performing career spanned more than 50 years. He died aged 89 in 2012.
A circa 1960s autograph book page, clearly signed in ballpoints by both Hattie Jacques and Eric Sykes.
