HELLO DOLLY. 1969 American romantic comedy musical drama film, distributed by 20th Century Fox and directed by Gene Kelly. It was based on the Broadway Musical of the same name and starred Barbra Steisand and Walter Mattau. It won three Oscars for Best Art Direction / Best Score and Best Sound Mixing & was nominated for a further four Academy Awards. However it was not a commecial success at the time.
