INGRID BERGMAN d1982. Swedish actress, winner of three Academy and two Emmy Awards, ranked by the AFI as the fourth greatest ever female film star. She is best remembered for her roles as Ilsa Lund in Casablanca (1942) alongside Humphrey Bogart and as Alicia Huberman in the Alfred Hitchcock thriller Notorious (1946). She died of breast cancer aged 67 in London in 1982.
