Description

JAMES HUNT d1993. British F1 driver and the unforgettable World Champion of 1976. A talented and underrated playboy driver who had to on occasions battle his demons whilst competing ; often displaying real determination and flashes of genius on the track. He competed in 93 GPs scoring 10 wins with Hesketh and Marlboro Mclaren. His charisma and charm endeared him to the public, bringing a whole new audience to Formula 1 motorsport at the time. He later forged out a career as a BBC TV sports commentator during the 1980s-90s. A fondly remembered British hero of the 1970s, he sadly died of a heart-attack aged just 45 in 1993.

NIKI LAUDA d2019. Austrian Formula 1 driver widely regarded to be one of the sports greats. Three times World Formula 1 Champion in 1975 / 1977 and 1984. His career record of 172 GPs with 25 wins. He miraculously survived a terrible fireball accident at the German GP in 1976, bravely returning just six weeks later only to lose out in the Championship to James Hunt

A (circa 1970s) exercise book page, clearly signed in ballpoint by James Hunt. A 1973 autograph book page, clearly signed in ballpoint by Niki Lauda.

A wonderful item for a motorsport collector, especially with both autographs being original vintage 1970s examples.

NB ; There are several small stains from previous mounting on the Niki Lauda page, but these do not detract on the signature itself.
