JOHNNIE RAY d1990. American singer songwriter pianist popular during the 1950s considered to be one of the precursor artists for rock n roll due to his musical style and wild stage antics. Best known for hits "Cry / Walkin My Baby Back Home and Just Walking In The Rain". He battled with alcoholism and poor health during the latter part of his life. He died of liver failure aged 63 on February 24th 1990.
