Pink Floyd
Reference Number. 14255E
Description
A very rare original vintage 1967 lined exercise book cut page, clearly signed in various ballpoints by all four members of Pink Floyd ; Nick Mason (Noke) / Roger Waters / Rick Wright d2008 and Syd Barrett d2006 (xx with flower doodle)
PLUS Russell Page
Extremely desirable and a sure-fire investment. One of the most iconic sets of autographs for any serious pop music collector. "Noke" was a stage-nick-name persona that Nick Mason was considering adopting in early 1967
Certification: | Alan Taylor collection. This page has similar charateristics (Nick Mason-Noke) to a page we sold many years ago that was obtained at the "Mammoth All-Night Rave" at the Leeds Queens Hall in February 1967. There were ten mainly local support bands on the bill including ; Roll Movement / Ox / Sweet Image / Lollipop Grange and Tropical Boot Company. Details of the event itself are sketchy, although the date is published in a list of concerts Pink Floyd played. A flyer produced to advertise this event claimed that the venue would house four stages, dancing for 10,000 fans and feature 12 groups in all. On the flyer the event was headlined by Cream ; "The rave sound all Britain is talking about" and Pink Floyd "The psychedelic freakout scheakout". This was one of Pink Floyd's very first gigs outside of the London area. The flyer promised "10 hours of action, go-go dancers a fairground and a barbecue". The concert took place six months prior to the release of Pink Floyds debut LP (The Piper at the Gates of Dawn). Research has concluded that Russell Page was a friend of Syd Barratt. There is a single reference to him in a short film made by Nigel Lesmoir Gordon that can be found on WordPress. AFTAL Dealer No13 and UACC RD Memorabilia UK COA |
