Robert Armstrong

ROBERT ARMSTRONG d1973. American film actor best remembered for his role as Carl Denham in the 1933 RKO film classic King Kong. At the conclusion of the movie he is famous for giving one of cinemas best-ever exit quotations ; "T'was beauty that killed the beast ....." King Kong was the pinnacle of his career, but he did appear in over 125 films between 1927-1964. He died of cancer in California aged 82 on April 20th 1973
