RONNIE PETERSON d1978. Swedish F1 driver for March / Tyrrell and Lotus. 123GPs with 10 race wins. Twice runner up in the F1 Championship in 1971 and 1978. Widely regarded to be one of the best drivers never to become a World Champion. Ronnie Peterson was tragically killed aged just 34 in an avoidable startline crash at Monza in September 1978.
