THE SPECIALS. English 2 Tone Ska band first formed in 1977 in Coventry. They enjoyed considerable success with a long run of seven memorable Top10 UK hit singles between 1979-1981, including No1s ; "Too Much Too Young" and "Ghost Town". The group split in 1981 when Terry Hall / Neville Staple and Lynval Golding left to form The Fun Boy Three. Group members went into various projects, but in April 2008 the group reformed and toured into the 2020s. Terry Hall died aged 63 after a short illness on December 18th 2022
