STRAY. British band first formed in 1966, active until 1977. They signed to Transatlantic records in January 1970 and supported numerous acts of the period including ; Rory Gallagher / Ten Years After / The Groundhogs / Kiss / Rush and The Pink Fairies. Their brand of melodic, hook-laden hard rock proved to be a popular draw on the local club scene during the early 1970s, however they failed to have much commercial success with record releases. At one stage Charlie Kray (brother of the Kray Twins Ronnie and Reggie) was their manager
