Be Bop Deluxe
BE BOP DELUXE. English progressive-rock band led by Bill Nelson who achieved critical acclaim and moderate commercial success during the mid to late 1970s. The band's sound emerged as a mixture of glam / prog and rock music using science fiction imagery that became common in Nelson's lyrics, along with the more traditional themes of love and the human condition (albeit often hidden beneath his quirky lyrical and musical metaphors). Their best charting year was 1976 with their LPs Sunburst Finish (UK No17) / Modern Music (UK No12) and single "Ships In The Night" (UK No23).
