Buzzcocks

BUZZCOCKS. Manchester punk group first formed in Bolton in 1975 by Pete Shelley and Howard Devoto. With Devoto as the frontman they played just a few concerts in 1976 and released the Spiral Scratch EP which reached No31 in the UK charts. Devoto left in February 1977 to join the influential post-punk band Magazine. The later (November 1977-March 1981) lineup of the Buzzcocks became one of the most enduring of all the British punk bands and are nowadays best remembered for the hit singles ; "What Do I Get" and the classic "Ever Fallen In Love With Someone" which reached No12 in the UK charts in 1978.
