CHARLES LAUGHTON d1962. English American actor and director whose career begun on the stage. He made his film debut in 1932 alongside Boris Karloff in "The Old Dark House". Other notable film roles later included ; Henry 8th (1933) (Academy Award) / Mutiny on The Bounty (1936) / Hunchback of Notredame (1939) and Witness For The Prosecution in (1958). Married to actress Elsa Lanchester, he died of cancer aged 63 in 1962
