Double mounted for fine display within a collage of photographs.

An extraordinary collection of all the main cast autographs, sadly now the great majority deceased and many of which are attractively together on the same vintage 1970s page as shown. Several of these autographs have in recent years become very hard to find, notably those of ; James Beck (who died in 1973 aged just 44 of pancreatitis, during the filming of series six) / Edward Sinclair (who died in 1977 aged 63 of a heart attack) and Harold Bennett (who died aged 81 in September 1981).

Certification:

The first 12 autographs on the list are signed in ballpoints on the reverse of what appears to be part of a typed script. Arthur Lowe is on a typed Menu for the Geest Line dated 6th August 1965. Dads Army

DADS ARMY. British BBC TV comedy series based around The Home Guard of World War 2. Extremely popular it ran for 80 episodes, regularily attracting 18 million + viewers between 1968-1977 and also became a feature film / radio show and stage show. The antics of the seven main characters are now legendary and have instilled into popular culture many still commonly used everyday catchphrases like "You Stupid Boy". In a 2004 TV poll it was voted the 4th greatest sitcom ever. Today it is still rarely off our TV screens and has a whole new legion of fans and appreciation societies. In 2014 it was announced there would be a big screen remake starring many household names, this is set for release in 2016.

Certification:

Many of the main core-cast pages came from the autograph book of Helen Daniels of Norfolk. We can assume these to have been obtained near the production set as much of the series was filmed in and around Thetford Norfolk. AFTAL Dealer No13 and UACC RD Memorabilia UK COA.

Certification:

From the 1970-80s autograph book of actor Peter Maz mostly collected in London and at the Nottingham Theatre Royal. Many of the autographs are dedicated to him. These will have been signed during the Dads Army touring theatre show of the mid 1970s. Edward Sinclair and Arthur Lowe from the same book have been sold separately.
