GLADYS MORGAN d1983. Welsh comdienne billed variously as the "Queen of Comedy" or "the Queen of Laughter". She was renowned for her toothless, ear-splitting and infectious laugh. She retired from show-biz whilst in her 70's due to arthritis. She died in Worthing aged 85 in 1983.
