James Bond

JAMES BOND 007. Fictional hero created in 1953 by writer Ian Fleming who originally featured James Bond in twelve novels and two short story collections. The character and idea has since evolved into the longest running and most financially successful film franchise in history beginning with Dr No in 1962. With the release of Spectre in 2015, there have to date been 24 films made in the EON productions series. Six actors have played the prestigious role of James Bond ; Sean Connery / George Lazenby / Roger Moore / Timothy Dalton / Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig. In 2012 the James Bond franchise celebrated its 50th Anniversary, from the release of the first film (Dr No) in 1962.
