All obtained in-person and through the post by him for 50+ years between the 1950s-1990s. The majority are dedicated to him and date stamped. As part of his archiving, there are numerous letters that help support the history and provenance of his lifetime dedication to the hobby of autograph collecting. JOHN DIEFENBAKER d1979. Politician who was the 13th Prime Minister of Canada, serving from June 21st 1957 to April 22nd 1963. He was the only Progressive Conservative party leader between 1930 and 1979 to lead the party to an election victory (doing so three times) although only once with a majority of the seats in the House of Commons. He died in Ontario aged 83 on August 16th 1979
