Description:

Two original 1959 consecutive autograph book pages, clearly signed in ink by both Laurence Harvey d1973 and Heather Sears d1994. The pair appeared together in the 1959 film "Room at The Top".

Suitable for mounting and display.

Heather Sears was an English actress best known for her roles in The Story of Esther Costello (1957) / The Siege of Pinchgut (1959) / Sons & Lovers (1960) and Phantom of The Opera (1962). She died aged just 58 in 1994.

Certification:

From a London area theatre autograph book of the 1950s. We do not know why these two signatures are dedicated to different names as they were on consecutive pages in the same book. AFTAL Dealer No13 and UACC RD Memorabilia UK COA.

An original circa 1950s vintage Sunday Pictorial Souvenir page, clearly signed in ink by Laurence Harvey.

Double mounted for fine display with photograph.

Certification:

One of a large autograph colllection all obtained in person by a Mr Skinner who attended many of The Sunday Pictorial Garden Party Events held annually during the 1940-50s at Morden Hall Park in London. These were hugely popular public events with many attractions including meet and greets with many entertainment celebrities of the period. There is a typed letter included giving more details by a member of his family and showing internet links to Pathe Newsreels covering the events. AFTAL Dealer No13 and UACC RD Memorabilia UK COA.

Laurence Harvey

LAURENCE HARVEY d1973. Lithuanian born film actor who made his film debut in "House Of Darkness" (1948). He found stardom with his BAFTA nominated performance in "Room At The Top" (1959). Later films included ; "Butterfield 8" (1960) / "The Alamo" (1960) / "The Long And The Short And The Tall" (1961) / "Walk On The Wild Side" (1962) / "Manchurian Candidate" (1962) and "Darling" (1965). Married three times, his career declined badly from the mid-1960s. A heavy smoker and drinker throughout his life, he died aged just 45 in 1973 of stomach cancer.

Description:

An original single sided typed letter (dated 1st February 1951), clearly signed in ink at the conclusion by Laurence Harvey.

Certification:

The letter mentions two of his 1951 films "The Scarlet Thread and There Is Another Sun". One of a wonderful collection of over 50 celebrity letters all obtained during the late 1940s to early 1950s by a Mr Douglas Squires. He was involved in editing a School / University Film & Theatre Entertainment magazine during this period and wrote to celebrities looking for a contribution of autographs and signed photographs for the magazine. Many of the letters are gracious and detailed replies with many references to helping his project and mentions of their careers at that point in time.
