A very good original April 1962 Louis Armstrong Third British tour programme, clearly signed over the central pages in ink by ; Louis Armstrong AND The All-Stars members ; Trummy Young d1984 (trombone) / Joe Dariensbourg d1985 (clarinet) / Billy Cronk d2000 (bass) / Danny Barcelona d2007 (drums) AND on the rear cover by Jewel Brown (singer) WITH original concert ticket for Newcastle City Hall included
| Certification: | Autographs obtained at Newcastle City Hall on Friday May 11th 1962. Original ticket included validates this. From the substantial and wonderful music / jazz autograph collection of David Ives numbering several hundred items, mostly obtained by him during the 1950-80s. He was a frequent concert-goer and well-known writer / contributor for The Jazz Journal from the 1950s, corresponding regularily with some of the best known artists of the period. Many of the notes and autographs are dedicated to him. Includes a recent typed letter from a family member, further detailing the known history of his collecting.
