Maurice Chevalier

MAURICE CHEVALIER d1972. French actor, singer and entertainer perhaps best known for his signature songs including ; Louise / Mimi / Valentine and "Thank Heaven For Little Girls. His trademark attire was his trademark tuxedo and boaler hat. Notable films include ; The Love Parade (1929) and The Big Pond (1930), both of which he received Academy Award nominations for. In 1957, he appeared in Love In The Afternoon, his first Hollywood film in more than 20 years. During the early 1960s, he made eight films including ; Can Can (1960) and Fanny (1961). He made his final contribution to the film industry in 1970, singing the title song of the Disney film The Aristocats. He died aged 83 in Paris on January 1st 1972
