A quirky original vintage 1936 Claim Sheet, clearly written and signed in ink by Thomas "Mutt" Carey
The Claim Sheet is dated January 13th 1936 against Paul Howard for 35 cents for playing at the Apex Club for two and a half weeks
| Certification: | From the substantial and wonderful music / jazz autograph collection of David Ives numbering several hundred items, mostly obtained by him during the 1950-80s. He was a frequent concert-goer and well-known writer / contributor for The Jazz Journal from the 1950s, corresponding regularily with some of the best known artists of the period. Many of the notes and autographs are dedicated to him. Includes a recent typed letter from a family member, further detailing the known history of his collecting.
