RICKY NELSON d1985. American singer-songwriter, instrumentalist and actor. He placed fifty-three songs on the Billboard Hot 100 between 1957 and 1973 (including nineteen top-ten hits) and was inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame on January 21st 1987. He recorded his first single in 1957 and recorded a No1 album "Ricky" in the same year. In 1958, he recorded his first No1 single "Poor Little Fool" and in 1959, received a Golden Globe Most Promising Male Newcomer nomination after starring in the western film, Rio Bravo. A few films followed and when his television series was cancelled in 1966, he then made occasional appearances as a guest star on various television programs. He died in an airplane crash aged 45 on 31st December 1985

A remarkable early original vintage circa early 1950s autograph book page, clearly signed in ink by brothers ; Ricky Nelson d1985 & Dave Nelson d2011 AND on the reverse by their father, Ozzie Nelson d1975 (all dedicating To Cathy)

Ozzie Nelson was American actor, filmmaker, musician and bandleader. He originated and starred in The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet (a radio and television series) with his wife Harriet and two sons David and Ricky Nelson. In 1952, when he and his family were established as radio and TV favorites, they starred in a feature film, "Here Come the Nelsons" which served as a pilot for the later TV series. Ricky Nelson would have been around 13 years old and brother David (9 years old) at this time
