RON FLOCKHART d1962. Scottish racing driver who participated in 14 F1 Grand Prix scoring one podium. During his career driving for Maserati / BRM / Connaught / Cooper and Lotus. He is best known for back to back Le Mans 24 hours wins driving Jaguar D Types for Ecurie Ecosse in 1956 and 1957. He was killed in a plane crash on a test flight in Australia on 12th April 1962 whilst preparing for a Sydney to London record attempt.
