The Alarm

THE ALARM. Welsh rock / new wave band first formed in Rhyl in 1981. Initially formed as a punk band, "The Toilets" in 1977 by lead vocalist Mike Peters. By opening for acts such as U2 and Bob Dylan, they became a popular alternative rock band of the 1980s and to this day retain a loyal following. Their highest charting single "Sixty Eight Guns" reached No17 in the UK in 1983. Their most succesful album, "Declaration" peaked at No6 in the UK album chart in 1984.
