Twinkle

TWINKLE d2015. British singer-songwriter who scored a huge No4 hit record in 1964 as a 15 year old schoolgirl with her own song "Terry". The song sold well assisted by its notoriety in being banned in some quarters by the BBC. Her follow up single Golden Lights (also recorded by The Smiths in 1986) in 1965 reached No21 in the charts, but her success was shortlived. She died aged 66 on 21st May 2015 after a long battle with cancer.
