VIVIEN LEIGH d1967. Outstandingly beautiful English actress who famously won two Academy Awards for her portrayals of American "Southern Belles". She will forever be remembered as Scarlett OHara in the 1939 classic "Gone With The Wind" and as Blanche DuBois alongside Marlon Brando in "A Streetcar Named Desire" (1951). She was also a prolific stage performer, often in collaboration with her husband Laurence Olivier during the 1950s. She suffered with ill health throughout her adult life which blighted her later career. She died of tuberculosis aged just 53 on 8th July 1967.
