Following this tickets for Bowie’s UK tour started to sell in larger numbers resulting in larger venues being booked and becoming sold out during the Summer of 1972. After a short break, the tour began again with a defining show at the Rainbow Theatre London on 19th August. Following this “Ziggy-Hysteria” began to grow with fans wearing make-up and mimicking his image.
