JOHNNY HALLYDAY d2017. French singer and actor. An icon in the French-speaking world since the beginning of his career, considered by many to be the French "Elvis". His music career spanned a half-century and he was one of France's biggest ever stars. He completed 100 tours / had 18 platinum albums and sold over 100 million records. He announced his retirement from performing on December 3rd 2007 due to ill-health at the age of 64 after a farewell tour. He died in France aged 74 on December 5th 2017
